horoscope

Aries: Keeping things light and carefree can be tricky when you're up to your neck in some heavy business, but you can manage to do so with grace today. What's the reason for your cool, calm and collected demeanor? Confidence, plain and simple. You know deep down in your gut that this project or task is going to go off without a hitch in the end. While others fret and worry, you can continue to picture the celebration you'll have once it's all over. Keep up the positive thinking!

This is really on the money. Just waiting for that grace to kick in. Maybe after a shower...

on the road with HP OotP

I saw the movie here.

catching up with Harry Potter

I didn't get to see HP OotP at midnight on opening night, which turned out to be just fine with me. I was asleep by 9pm that night I think. Anywho, I was privileged enough to see all of the O.C. Harry Potter enthusiasts who were in line at the IMAX more than 6 hours before show time! That is dedication. The best part is a lot of the Griffyndor's were studying though not pictured. The Slytherins seemed, uh, less studious.

Other than "ooh, you got your hair cut!" the second most common conversation I've had lately starts with "Shelly! Where do I go to get my Harry Potter book?!?!" The answer...

Bound To Be Read Books
Friday night, July 20, 2007

481-B Flat Shoals Avenue, S.E. - Atlanta - Georgia 30316

"Mark your calendar for Friday, July 20th and join us for our Harry Potter party from 10:00 p.m. until midnight. We'll count down the minutes until the witching hour and the release of the final boy wizard book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

The Leaky Cauldron will cater our affair with cauldron cakes, butterbeer, and Voldetorte. A magician will perform magic. Come dressed in costume, and a photographer will take your picture in front of a Harry Potter background for a small fee.

At midnight, we will distribute pre-ordered copies of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows from the Great Book of Names for those who have pre-ordered copies.

This party is B.Y.O.B. (Bring Your Own Broom). Muggles are welcome; no Deatheaters allowed."

It's an independent bookstore in the East Atlanta Village and it is going to be Awesome (ask Cassi, she's an expert on the subject). You can call them at 404-522-0877 or email Jef to reserve your book(s). They are offering a 25% discount.

Cassi is going as Luna Lovegood. I've lost my Hermione hair, so maybe I'll be Harry. Who will you be? Stay tuned for more details!
